This weekend the whole school (with some exceptions) went to Kristiansund for the Nordic Light photo festival. It was a great trip for a number of reasons. First of all, it was fun to visit the town where I was born and grew up for 7 years of my life before I moved to Trondheim. Kind of nostalgic, I guess.
And then there was all the experiences! Great lectures with some of the greatest photographers in the world, tons of inspiration, and lots of social good-times with the students! We camped in a small cabin just ten minutes from town, where we had barbeque some of the nights. And beer. Lots of it.
It is really hard to point out a highlight from all of the lectures, they were all great. Marcel Lelienhof, Joyce Tenneson, Joel-Peter Witkin, Crispin Gurholt, to mention some of them. Oh, and Lois Greenfield, my god, that woman has an eye for capturing action!
So much inspiration that I haven´t absorbed it all yet, and I will probably write more about it, and post some pictures…for now, partying by the ocean, Anette, Lars and Eirik.
