Goodbye Trondheim/Hello Oslo

Goodbye Trondheim/Hello Oslo

One could question if it´s worth travelling for four days just to ride bikes and work in two days. I´d say yes. When the sun is burning and popping 27 celcius, and you get to ride new trails and test brand new gear, life isn´t that bad.

And waiting at the airport is no problem as long as you can tan for a bit.

Meet Christophe!
Life is funny. I went to Spain, with people from 12 different nations. In Giverola I met Christophe. We have the same name (basically), we both have brothers who compete in mountainbiking, we are both photographers, and share the same nerdy interest for both bikes and photogear. No wonder we hung out a lot.
Hope to meet you again!
Here´s Christophe for you!

Meet Jordan!
Last weekend, I was in Spain on a work trip, looking at next years models from a bicycle brand. Staying there for only two days made it a short, but memorable experience. I  met new people from all over the world, and one of them was Jordan. He came from half-across the globe from Australia to cover the same event for his magazine. Travelling for 36 hours, he was both jetlagged an tired, but even so he kept the spirits up and was just such a fun guy to hang out with.
So here´s Jordan for you!

Travelling and riding with some of the best people I know, and for a living while at it. Can´t complain. Henrik and Jørn, en route to Oslo for a race last weekend.

Good times.

I have not written anything about it on this blog yet, so I thought that it was about time now. A few months ago, I started working as an assistant for a commercial photographer here in Trondheim, Marius Rua. We have moved into a studio right outside the city core, and for me this is more or less like a dream coming true. Working for Marius, I have probably learned and experienced more than I have in the few past years alltogether. In many ways. About six months ago, it was just a dream to be able to “go to work” in at studio every day, and now it is all happening.

Working as an assistant is a pretty wide job description, I do everything from location scouting, finding models, buying props, helping out on location or in the studio, you name it. Not a single day is “regular”, something new happens all the time, and I love it.
Like when we had a shoot a week ago in the studio. Good people, coffee and cookies, and good vibes.
In the picture, you see Marius and Stian from HK (one of the commercial agencies here in Trondheim) reviewing the material shot.

Bjørnar, a colleague from Sportsbua (where I have a parttime job) visited today, we drank coffee and watched longboard movies, contemplating on the good life. Good man.

I helped Julie Karoline out with some photos for her exams, and shot a portrait of her. Part of my ongoing project/series.
